[Note: for some reason i lost the date to this entry but i know it was in august '04 some date before the 29th.]Haha that was just a funny title that popped into my head. I won’t rant about sticky caps. It’s a pretty overused rant =P. I was just thinking that I’ve been doing pretty good with sticking to my asian roots. Just now I decided I was hungry so I cooked up some dumplings and ate them with soy sauce mixed in with a little sesame oil. And it’s past midnight. Xiao yie. That’s what they all do in Taiwan; spur of the moment at 1 in the morning decide to drive to some cute little place selling yo tiao and shao bing, or the ever-popular shao bing yo tiao ^_^;
Music-wise, I really lean towards taiwanese pop singers a lot, along with some j-pop and korean tunes. Well I really have a broad taste in music, from yellowcard to ayumi hamasaki but I do have a lot of asian stuff. Jay Chou, F.I.R. are my biggest interests right now, since Jay Chou’s new album came out, which isn’t as good as the last but still pretty unique, and he has about two good songs, none of which are very clear as to what he is saying, but oh well. It’s the music that counts. F.I.R. is also so good! A happy Evanescence? Something like that. Oh, the ar jia ar will never die. Wo Men de Ai is the best song ever! I even tried to translate it, got roughly about 35% of it. Yeah, I need to work on my Chinese. Funny how both Jay Chou and F.I.R. appeared on that show with Xiao S. That show tries too hard to be funny, which irks me. They also laugh at their own jokes, which is really amateurish. But having these guests was worth my watching.
Hm, more about my roots? Well, I went to Flushing A LOT this summer. Cravings for bubble tea really got me going. Tea Shop 168! Sago! Hell yeah ;]
Hm what else? My bedroom decor? Well, I tried to make it look good but it looks pretty crappy, like a flea market for old chinese stuff. I just gathered some stuff around my house and it did not work.
There’s definitely more, but these few things were big. Everyone’s downstairs now watching some korean drama called “Glass Shoe” or “Glass Slipper” and it’s not really appealing to me. Damn I had no time to watch Winter Sonata at all this summer! I just wasn’t thinking about. What I should really get my mind on is Advanced Research Project and Summer Reading (my poor poor overdue books). Tutor has really got me messed too. Ah the decision-making! Well I’m not going for now. I definitely want to start earlier than junior year, but it’s probably not possible to just want to get into her class in the middle of the year. Er so basically I’m screwed. I can’t motivate myself to study. I guess I’ll try, which also means I shouldn’t be sitting here right now blogging about my life. By the way, I’m writing this with absolutely no layout. How sad. I want to make a really good one, and then I’ll have to figure out how to code it into b2. Then I’ll make it one little cute personal site with artwork and writings. Ergh, big plans, no actions. Well SOON! I need to learn to make more creative layouts.“What is left?
